“Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked to us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?” — Luke 24:32

Why Emaús

On the road to Emmaus, two disciples talk with Jesus without recognizing him. He opens the Scriptures to them, their hearts burn, and they know him in the breaking of the bread. That is what this app wants to be: a companion on the road that opens the Word every day and leads you back to the table — to prayer, to Mass, to the sacraments and to your community.

Daily reflection

A reflection made for where you are

Every day, a verse from the Gospel and a reflection in four steps. The third part changes with your profile — a tired parent, a student with questions, someone coming back to the faith — and ends with one concrete thing to do today.

  1. Word — the key verse and its context
  2. Reflection — what the text says and what the Church teaches
  3. For you today — the Word in your life, with an action
  4. Prayer — with your intentions, if you like

3 of 4 · For you today

Maybe today you feel unseen, like Nathanael under the fig tree. Jesus saw you before any call. Heaven is not closed over your routine.

For today

Before bed, give thanks for one moment when God was there and you didn't notice.

Chat

Someone to talk to about your faith, any time

An AI companion on the road to answer questions, understand a reading or pray together. It knows your profile, quotes Scripture and the Catechism, and can write a prayer for where you are.

The Chat is not a priest and never pretends to be Jesus: it talks about the faith and prays with you. For the sacraments and spiritual direction, turn to your parish.

Chat
I've been anxious about work. Can you pray with me?
Of course. Saint Paul invites us not to be anxious about anything, but to bring everything to God in prayer, with thanksgiving (Phil 4:6). Would you like me to write a short prayer for this moment?
Yes, please.
Lord, I place my work in your hands, and everything I don't know how to solve. Give me the peace to do today what is mine to do, and to trust you with the rest. Amen.

Frequently asked questions

Is Emaús free?

Yes. Everything you need to pray day to day — liturgy, reflection, Rosary, Examen, Bible and journeys — is free, with ads. Only the AI Chat is a subscription, and everyone can try it first.

Is the content faithful to the Catholic Church?

Yes. Reflections and journeys follow Sacred Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the liturgical calendar, and are reviewed before they go into the app.

Does the Chat replace a priest?

No. The Chat is a help for prayer and study. It can make mistakes, cannot hear confessions and does not replace spiritual direction or the sacraments. When in doubt, ask a priest.

Do I need an account?

No. You can explore the app without one. With an account, your notes, intentions and progress follow you to another device.

What happens to my data?

We keep only what the app needs to work, and we never sell your data. Your Chat conversations stay on your device. See the Privacy Policy.
